Fox News host Bret Baier and his family were involved in a “major car crash” in Montana over the holiday weekend, which, according to him, left them “banged up, but alive.”

“Don’t take anything for granted,” Baier said in a statement Tuesday. “It’s always good to remind yourself of that before something does it for you.”

Baier had been on his way to the airport on Monday morning — in the snow — when the accident happened, he said.

“After a weekend of skiing with my wife and two boys…we were involved in a major car crash,” the 48-year-old explained.

State officials told The Post that the anchor was approaching an intersection in Gallatin County, Montana, when he “attempted to stop but was unable to do so.”

“Road conditions were incredibly icy and it was snowing at the time of the crash,” said a Department of Justice spokesperson. “[Baier’s vehicle] continued into the intersection and was hit on the driver side by another vehicle. As a result, Mr. Baier’s vehicle was pushed off the road and overturned in the ditch, landing on its driver side.”

The “Special Report” host said in his statement that he was rescued by a good Samaritan.

“Thanks to a man driving by named Zach who stopped and helped, we were able to climb out of the flipped car,” he recalled. “And thanks to the first responders and Montana Highway Patrol — we made it to the hospital quickly.”

Baier was treated for minor injuries, along with his family members and one passenger in the other car, according to officials.

“No citations were issued. No alcohol or drug use is suspected on the part of either driver,” the DOJ spokesperson said.

Baier has received an outpouring of well-wishes and support, with public figures and other journalists reaching out Tuesday on social media in response to his “every day is a blessing” statement.

“Wishing my friend @BretBaier and his wonderful and loving family only the best,” tweeted CNN host Wolf Blitzer. “His words are powerful and so true.”
